Macaroons

A delicious cookie, quick and easy to make

2 egg whites

pinch salt

1 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup coconut

1/2 cup chopped nuts

2 cups corn flakes

 

Beat egg whites with salt until stiff.  Add sugar gradually and beat thoroughly.  Fold in coconut, flakes (crushed) nuts and vanilla.  Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.  Bake 325 degrees 10-12 minutes.  Yield:  2 doz.
