Patricia's Corn Bread or Muffins

1/2 cup unbleached white flour

1-1/4 cup yellow cornmeal

1/2 teaspoon soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

3 tablespoon sugar

3 tablespoons oil

1 egg

1 cup buttermilk

 

Place dry ingredients into bowl.  Add egg, oil and milk.  Mix and pour into well greased 8 inch square pan or 12 muffin tins.  Bake 425 degrees 20 minutes for 8 inch square pan and 12-15 minutes for muffins.
